Why did I move halfway across the world to study Applied Analytics?
I enjoy being a Product Manager; the immediate feedback I receive from the value I provide is what drives my passion. Working as a PM, I was fortunate to collaborate with people who had strong technical expertise and supported me along the way. However, those experiences made me realize that I wanted to grow further as a lead PM by strengthening my skills with deeper technical understanding.
Through this program, I am focusing my energy on achieving that goal—integrating technical knowledge with my business acumen to become a stronger leader.
What's been on my mind lately?
I've been torn between priorities in a way I haven't experienced for a long time. Balancing my academic schedule with networking, job searching, and exploring New York has been both exciting and overwhelming.
I've never had to keep my personal schedule this tight, and I'm still figuring out an effective way to manage my time. To make progress, I've started giving each week a theme with one key goal to focus on. This approach helps me move forward with clarity.
Personal Interests
Photography
Since getting my first camera, a Canon 550D, in high school, photography has been a big part of my life. In university, I joined the photography club and eventually served as its president, participating in five exhibitions and co-publishing a photobook with alumni. These days, I'm especially interested in experimenting with film cameras, exploring new ways to capture moments with a different texture and mood.
Gaming
I'd describe myself as a casual gamer. I enjoy team-based games and often invite friends to play together. I used to spend a lot of time on Overwatch and PUBG, but these days I'm more into Nintendo Switch titles (yes, I got the Switch 2!). Right now, I'm especially excited for the upcoming Pokémon series release, since I've always been a huge Pokémon fan.
Travel
As a photographer, I'm also an avid traveler, visiting around 25 countries. My most recent favorite trip was to Turkey—I loved the food, culture, and rich history. Next on my list is Brazil, though I admit I'm a bit hesitant to travel there alone.
YouTube
I enjoy watching YouTube videos—sometimes a little too much. One quirky thing about me is that I don't subscribe to YouTube Premium because I actually enjoy watching the ads. Lately, I've started uploading some videos myself, and it's been a lot of fun to see my creations.
